SINGING LESSONS
I offer private voice lessons in midtown Manhattan, over Skype, and over FaceTime. Whether you are a beginner or a professional, and no matter what style of singing interests you, I would be happy to help you.
During your singing lessons, we will focus on the three major mechanics of singing: diaphragmatic breathing, vocal resonance, and articulation. My techniques will guide you through exercises to help you gain skill and confidence, while celebrating the spontaneity of your voice.
Whether your goal is to produce a recording, select and prepare an audition piece, or sing for fun, I will create an individual program tailored to your needs.

ACTING FOR SINGERS
The use of gestures, the face, and eye focus are special challenges for the singing actor. Learn to have a clear emotional intention over a long phrase. I coach singers to develop a rehearsal process to integrate vocal technique with the presentation.
Imagine having the confidence to audition or perform an aria/role with emotional clarity and presence while seeming to be totally spontaneous.
FREEDOM to explore your unique creative ability. When we operate in an atmosphere of safety, our creativity is free-flowing.
FOCUS. When we are aware of our whole instrument, we have the ability to make specific choices from a wealth of options.
JOY. Playfully, fear transforms. We experience artistic spontaneity which brings confidence and joy!

FOR THE PERFORMER
Years of teaching, along with my performing experiences, have given me the confidence to know how I can guide your singing, work on accent reduction, and impart secrets of stagecraft.
Are you more comfortable with the spoken word but need an audition piece? Together, we can find the right song for you, the actor, to shine.
Taking one person through the process of freeing his or her sound, to take wing and fly, is as satisfying as receiving a standing ovation from 2,000 people. I’ve had both experiences and I wouldn’t trade one for the other.
